Diplomate From National Board (DNB)

Considering the variations in the level of standards of post graduate and post doctoral examinations in our country and based on the recommendations of an expert group set up for maintaining uniform standards, the Ministry of Health & Family welfare, Government of India, established the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The degrees awarded by the Board are equivalent to MD/MS/DM/M.Ch and included in the First schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.There are 28 broad specialities identified by the Board for which approved training facilities are available. The candidates after passing the Centralized Entrance Test (CET – National Board of Examination) can register in various Accredited institutions / hospitals in the country. The candidates with post-graduate qualification can also register for these courses.Centers of excellence after due inspection, have been identified in the specialities. The trainees go through a structured training programme, maintaining a performance logbook and undergo an examination at the end of the training.
